Karakachan's Folklore Dance Ensembles

 Folk Dance Ensemble at the Culture Society of the Karakachans in the precinct of Rechitsa, Sliven, Bulgaria.

These folklore ensembles perform original karakachans' dances, featuring a slow rhythm and graceful flowing movements. The women's costumes are extremely colourful and very heavy- they weigh from 6 to 8 kilograms because of their exquisite decoration.
The two ensembles traditionally take part in The International Karakachans' Feast, which takes place annually in the vicinity of Karandila in the mountain region 'Sinite Kamani' - Sliven.

STATUTE
The organization of the present festival is a point of intersection between the preservation of the cultural identity and the incorporation of the children to the dance art in the spirit of the European collaboration.
