Rytmi veka (Rhythms of the Century) was created in 1979. In 1982 ensemble was awarded the rank of “exemplary children’s ensemble”. In 1993, 1996 and 1999 it took the first place in republican competition of children’s creativity in Moldova.
It was also the winner of Utrinnaya zvezda (Morning Star) television programme. In 1993 the ensemble won the first prize at the international competition in Romania. In 1997 Rytmi Veka took part in the second international festival of people of the CIS in the city of Moscow where it was awarded a gold medal of the fund of the European carnival cities.
In 2004 Rytmi veka won the main prize at the international festival of the children creativity in Belarus.
