Sikharuli Folk Dance Ensemble, town of Kutaisi, Georgia

 
 

Sikharuli Folk Dance ensemble of Georgia was founded at Secondary School No 36 in the town of Kutaisi. The town is located in the central part of the country and is the one of most ancient towns.

 

Over the years the ensemble was proved to have excellent choreography and since 1997 has always participated in national children and youth festivals. In 1998 Sikharuli won a gold medal in the Republican competition in town of Borzhomi and in 2001 it won the first prize at Bravo 2004 National contest in Tbilisi.

STATUTE
The organization of the present festival is a point of intersection between the preservation of the cultural identity and the incorporation of the children to the dance art in the spirit of the European collaboration.
