The group Stari Dushanovac was established in 1971 in Belgrad, Serbia. The group has successfully given over 1500 concerts in all countries of ex-Yugoslavia and won lots of international prizes from festivals in France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Algeria, Poland, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Spain and Mexico, with original folk dances, authentic old customs and genuine folk music.
Since 1980s the group has been the leading group in the Serbia and among the ten best ensembles in former Yugoslavia. They have always performed to the accompaniment of traditional folk instruments, which bring the traditions into life.
